History of Zemic

ZEMIC or Zhonghang Electronic Measuring Instruments Co. Ltd.is one of the leading providers of various measuring instruments. The company was established way back 1965 and their products like load cells and junction boxes are some of the widely used around the world. Throughout their years in the industry, ZEMIC has further ventured in the modern industry which specializes in electronic weighing industry by manufacturing weighing equipment and instruments like load cells, scale indicators, strain gauges, and axle weighing scales. ZEMIC’s second production facility in China is able to manufacture up to 50 million strain gauges, over 5 million miniature sensors, 1 million commercial and industrial load cells every year. This feat has established ZEMIC as the biggest load cell and strain gauge produced in China.

Zemic Certifications

Today, the products of ZEMIC have eight certifications from multiple international authorities. These include NTEP certification for 29 models, OIML certification for 43 models, ATEX and FM anti-explosion certification for 69 models, and many more. To ensure their place in the weighing instrument industry and its ISO 9001 quality standard, ZEMIC makes sure to only provide customers with products having the best quality. ZEMIC now has hundreds of distributors and partners all around the world making it easier to get their products and services. Also, ZEMIC has established expansion manufacturing plants in Europe and USA. Camaweigh is a known distributor of ZEMIC weighing instruments, specifically single and double shear load cells. ZEMIC’s offers different types and classification of load cells: Single and multipoint load cells, shear and dual shear load cells, compression load cells, S-type, spoke type, ring torsion, and onboard load cells. These load cells are designed for their individual ideal applications based on their parameters. As of now, Camaweigh is only offering separate purchases of single and dual shear load cells as of the moment. ZEMIC load cells are used by in different industries ranging from construction industry, medical industry, and in the sales industry. Camaweigh offers ZEMIC load cells as accessories and replacement parts which can be used with other brands of weighing equipment. These are the HM9B and H8C load cells which are dual shear load cell and single shear load cell, respectively.

Zemic Load Cells

Some of Camaweigh’s weighing products are already equipped with ZEMIC load cells as their default weighing instruments. Camaweigh’s bench scales, some weighbridges, and multiple display LED counting scales. As mentioned before, different load cells are designed depending on their parameters like maximum load capacity and breaking point. ZEMIC load cells are made and designed for high quality and accuracy. They are made from alloy steel which is a very strong material which can hold its own when subjected with very large loads in the form of compression, strain, or shear forces. ZEMIC load cells have the ability to bend up to a certain level before breaking and can return to its original state without permanent deformation. The ZEMIC load cells offered by Camaweigh have a maximum load capacity of 50 tons for the double shear load cell and 10 tons for the single shear load cell variant.

Advantages and Disadvantages

ZEMIC load cells, just like other brands offered by Camaweigh, have their advantages and disadvantages. They are obviously suitable for weighing purposes and are strong enough because of their material built. ZEMIC load cells have numerous security certifications and ISO standard which ensures its client of the quality of product they are purchasing. ZEMIC strain gauge load cells are great for determining the structural integrity of materials used in many industrial objects. One disadvantage ZEMIC has compared to the other brands of load cells offered by Camaweigh is their price, ZEMIC load cells are more expensive.
