Camaweigh Intelligent Traffic Systems

In today’s modern times technology has greatly advanced. The ways things are done are now exponentially faster than before. Technology has become an important aspect of human lives. It is always improving constantly and helping the further advancement in applications. People today are highly dependent on all kinds of technology. It has changed the way processes are done, the way products are mane, the way we travel, and many more. As we go further to the future, the way we live and do things will also change. The demand for more advanced technology will also increase.

Intelligent Traffic Systems

An intelligent traffic system is a connection of different devices and technologies which helps ease the flow vehicles and manage each lane properly to prevent stalling of vehicle movement. An intelligent traffic system is also defined as the interaction between its components; pedestrians, traffic management systems, public transports, and the drivers. Basically, its main purpose is to control traffic. Traffic control is the main component to a safe and efficient transportation system. Different countries implement different traffic rules and regulation. Traffic control is needed when controlling huge quantities of vehicles, but let us not forget that no matter how good the traffic control system is, the vehicle drivers and operators have their own decision making. As mentioned before, traffic situations are different from road to road, therefore need different traffic system implementations. Given a four road intersection, one road might have more traffic compared to the others at that particular day and time. A great traffic system is one which can detect this and make necessary adjustment in the time that the traffic light stays green for that particular road. There are times when a road has barely any cars at all but have the traffic light is programmed to have the same green light time as with the roads with more traffic.

Traffic

Traffic is defined is the movement of vehicles and people from one place to another. Traffic occurs on a specific pathway where the people and vehicles go about like the roads, sea, and airways. Traffic can occur on each of these because they are all used as pathways for humans and our transportation vehicles. During the early times road traffic was not as complicated as it is today. Before the creation of the first automobile, there weren’t even traffic to consider at all. There was no need to traffic enforcers to direct the traffic. But as technology evolved so did the traffic situation. As time went by more and more automobile were created. The large number of cars being created demanded for more roads and pathways. Before, traffic enforcers were enough to control and direct traffic congestion, but not for long. Fast forward today, traffic has become so complicated in some places that there was a need for more systemized traffic systems and solutions.

Traffic keeps on evolving because cars are becoming more affordable due to the large quantities being made. One of the challenges in traffic control is how it can be done in an efficient but safe way. Today, traffic systems for roads and intersections are fully automated. Traffic lights are programmed to change colors after a specific amount of time. This changing time depends on the volume of vehicles normally passing through that pathway. This may sometime be inefficient because not all the time a specific road will have cars passing thru. This may cause traffic congestion to build up on roads where there are more vehicles passing thru. Good traffic systems are those which can continuously observe traffic and adapt to their current situations.
